The element of consumerism has happened to take the entire world by storm where developed countries are making the most out of this trend while the developing countries do not have much say in this matter as they continue to be browbeaten by the developed nations under the veneer of globalization and ‘mutual’ development. Despite of all of these changes, there are still some things that remain intact in their existence. Although their forms have been modified with the passage of several centuries in response to the demands of time yet that does not eclipse the real spirit of those things. As a matter of fact, the modifications have enabled them to emerge out on the international front as a force to reckon, which has further contributed towards enhancing their value. One such thing is a kayak, which have modified only in form yet its importance and presence remains the same.

The third category of kayaks is the whitewater kayak that is meant to travel on whitewater rivers. The design of this particular type of kayak is built in such a way that it is able to withstand the rough contours of the whitewater rivers and emerges out successfully from the stormy challenges that the whitewater rivers throw its way. Last but definitely not the least is the touring kayak that is also referred to as sea kayak.
In the general scenario, sea kayaks (touring kayaks) are designed with the consideration of paddling, an activity that could be conveniently categorized as a sport. This paddling is conventionally performed on open bodies of water such as lakes or bays and sometimes even the ocean. As far as the sea kayak is concerned, it is usually a seaworthy small boat, which has a deck that is covered, the previous phrase serving as the definition of a sea kayak. Other than that, sea kayaks also have the ability to incorporate the features of a spray deck.
All in all, all the types of kayaks suit their respective purposes, making the overall experience of kayaking a hugely enriching spectacle.
